TRASH! Fucking trash. There was once a time when I was a huge Amy Schumer fan. Loved her. I watched her stand up and her Comedy Central show and thought she was hilarious. Trainwreck was a great movie too. Like a top notch comedy movie that would have definitely picked up a few WMW (Weekend Movie Watchlist) awards had the internet’s top tier weekly movie review been conceived back then.

Ever since that? Nope. Can’t stand her. Why?

  1. I hate the shit she pulled in Florida where she shamed half her fans for supporting Trump. If you’re a comedian who got famous for talking about your vagina, stick to talking about your vagina. You can’t all of a sudden try and force your political opinions on people who have only ever heard you talk about how many dicks you have taken.
  2. Vagina jokes get old. I know. I never thought I would say it either, but eventually there comes a time when you can’t rely on the shock factor of talking about vulgar things as a mildly attractive blond. If her career is going to last, she is going to have to come up with some actual original ( 3. she stole material from other comedians) funny material.

4. I know that the first two kind of seem to contradict each other and maybe that’s her problem. She has pigeon holed herself into a form of comedy that just doesn’t have legs. She has a reputation for shocking her audience with sex stories and that just can’t last forever but at the same time she can’t break from that reputation because that’s what her career is built on. I am skeptical if she can actually be funny without slut shaming herself.

I want my opinion to be reversed. I don’t want to hate Amy but this trailer was dog shit. The funniest part was the bell boy calling her a melted candle. Come to think of it though, that probably came from a comment on one of her videos. It’s alright though, at the WMW we are happy to recognize the exceptionally bad movies along with the exceptionally good. This one will make for an interesting Watchlist either way when it’s time comes.

I appreciate that the tramp stamp she is sporting here is as trash as her career has become.
