Ed Sheeran made news a couple days ago when he dropped 2 amazing singles. Now the dude comes out of the clouds with a cover of Will Smith. It’s obviously an incredible cover and he put his own Ed Sheeran spin on the song and really made it his own. I’m not going to say it’s better than the version that Jaden’s dad did all those years ago, but I’m not going to say it’s not.

The thing that really has me baffled is that he doesn’t have the lyrics in front of him. Ed (him and I are on a first name basis, that’s what happens when you write two blogs about him in a week) has to remember the lyrics to all of his songs and on top of that he just knows the lyrics to a 20 year old TV show theme song by heart! Granted the Fresh Prince theme is the best of all time but I’m still impressed that he was able to not freeze up.

 

Update: The more I think about it, the more I realize that there’s no way that this isn’t staged. Ed Sheeran knew that question in advance and rehearsed this cover before he was on air. He might have even written the question himself. Overall, I’m a little disapointed with the Internet right now. This is still some quality content so I’m willing to look past the fact that everything is fake
