BBC- Castle on the Hill, released on Friday, has been described as a “love song for Suffolk”.

In addition to describing the Framlingham area where he grew up, Sheeran sings “driving at 90 down those country lanes”.

Sgt Chris Harris, from Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing, responded by tweeting “please slow down”.

This is the only way that Ed Sheeran could attract any kind of police attention. He’s the most innocent person in the music industry, least likely to cause a conflict, most likely to help an old lady cross the street. He’s just an all around nice guy so it’s funny that this lyric in a song about his childhood is making waves in the British law enforcement community. In terms of street cred though, I think he is to Britain what Tupac was to America.

Ed didn’t just come out with a new song yesterday though, he came out with 2 new songs.

Ed Sheeran’s already making 2017 a better year
