SourceWatching Arnold Schwarzenegger belittle women and minimize their intelligence and accomplishments is all too icky as Donald Trump’s ghost haunts the new ‘Apprentice’ premiere.

(The New Celebrity Apprentice) obsesses over personal branding and the value of self. It celebrates our enthusiasm for simultaneously resuscitating and belittling the careers of has-been stars and D-list celebrities.

And, more than all of that, it promotes the idea that women are dispensable, that they exist to be ridiculed, that misogyny rules, and that male hubris trumps—heh—any superior, intellectual quality from a female counterpart.

Oh, and of course, that qualifications and charisma are hardly necessary to become the most powerful person in the room.

Last night was a big one for reality television. With the premier of both the Bachelor and the New Celebrity Apprentice, there was a lot of drama to watch. I decided to be politically conscious and watch the former most outrageous politician’s show which is produced by the world’s current most outrageous politician, the president elect (I’m going to refrain from making the joke that this show’s EP is our PE).

Last night there were two teams, the girl’s team and the boy’s team. There were two people that were eliminated. Both of those people happened to be from the girl’s team. According to the journalist who wrote the article that’s quoted above, that was sexist and misogynistic and Donald Trump was probably on the phone with Arnold telling him to fire that fat lady who looks like Rosie Odoneld.

I’m all for women’s equality. It’s crazy that they aren’t paid the same as men and all the things that being a women in today’s world entails. Bad stuff. But this kind of seemed like equality to me. Yes, Arnold ripped into the women. By no means did he go easy on the men though. His job as the Donald (the boss) on this show was to say hurtful things that would get some buzz going. He did that. The fact that two females got fired from the show is because they deserved to get fired. They were graded on the same scale as the men. How do you twist that into being sexist?

I hate people who throw out the term sexist as soon as equality doesn’t go the way they want. The girls team sucked. Two of its members were fired because they sucked. All of a sudden it’s time to throw out the sexist flag? People baffle me sometimes.

P.S. This guy lost all credibility when he said the word “icky”. Apparently he is writing to an audience of kindergarteners. (The irony is, his audience often likes to act like kindergarteners when they don’t get their way)
