I will admit, with the recent and devastating loss of Carrie Fisher I am in no mood for jokes. But I just don’t see how this is funny. It’s way too easy to place myself in this kid’s heavy snow boots, because if you’ve ever gone sledding this whole scenario has happened to you. Having your sled go for a ride down the hill without you is an inevitable tragedy for anyone who grew up in a place where it snows. And trying to run in the snow is like struggling against a thousand-pound slug who has you chained up.
Your boots are heavy as hell and then they sink deep into the snow with every step, so getting tripped up and eating a face full of snow is inevitable. Know who the only person to ever successfully run through the snow was, Princess Leia on Hoth.
I don’t think that the kid running after the sled is funny because it just hits a little too close to home. That’s not close to being the worst part of this video.
The fucking sister. “This has to go on AFV. This has to go on AFV. This has to go on AFV.” This fucking kid was giving a level of effort that is only rivaled by Princess Leia, when she is bracing the trash compactor with a huge metal stick,
and his sister wanted to put it on AFV as soon as the video starts. She should have done what any good sister would do and give her a brother a kiss that would turn out to be super awkward in the years to come.
Something tells me this wasn’t the first video that this family submitted to America’s Funniest Home Videos. This family films every activity they do in the hopes that something remotely funny will happen so they can get on TV and go viral. There is no other excuse for that girl being able to conjure up the initials “AFV” that quickly. America’s funniest videos hasn’t been popular in 15 years and isn’t something that you actively think about unless your goal is to be on America’s funniest videos.
But apparently, The Internet, in all its mysterious wisdom decided that while the world would take Carrie Fisher from us, The Internet would give us this unfortunate little boy. My job is not to know how The Internet works, I am here just to report on it.
Doc’s Post Blog Press Conference
So how do you think you did in your blog today?
All things considered I think I did pretty solid, I was able to accuratly give some hot takes on a trending topic and I didn’t let outside events rattle me or effect my performance. So I’m just looking forward to continuing to go out there and perform to the best of my ability and not let any unexpected deaths of any people that I grew up loving effect how I blog my blog.

(Couldn’t capture my mental state any better than this right here)
