I remember back in high school we used to have to give presentations to the class and it was the worst thing in the world. Not presenting, I’m a natural showman and can present my ass off, that’s not the worst thing in the world. Sitting through everyone else’s awkward presentation while they stumbled over their words and forgot what they were saying, that was the worst thing in the world. Watching this video, I had a flashback to sitting at a desk while one of my class mates almost wets himself while giving a book report.

I’m a movie guy. In being a movie guy I have to give respect for one of the best in the biz, Mr. Wes Anderson. The guy turns everything he touches into art. One of the first blogs I wrote was about how he created a piece of art in that ad for H&M. He’s quirky and unique and kind of weird, that’s his style and he owns that and puts it into everything he does. So I love that he is my class mate from high school in this video. It wouldn’t be Wes Anderson if he put out a regular video to promote his movie and this charity. He had to awkwardly drop the name of every member in the cast (half of them are A listers and half I have never heard of) while Edward Norton peeks in at him around the corner. And like the kid presenting his book report I lost interest and stopped paying attention after a minute and a half so I couldn’t tell you a thing about the charity he was trying to pump up (I think he was talking about a charity).

Stay classy Wes, the movie guy of all movie guys. And stay on the lookout for the movie blog of all movie blogs, the Weekend Movie Watchlist, we have some big time contenders this weekend and it is going to be a true show to watch them compete for Watchlist gold.

P.S. What the fuck is up with Yoko Ono being in this new movie? I will warn you right now that this movie will receive zero WMW awards if she actually has a major role and I am forced to listen to her heartless music destroying voice for longer than five minutes. Lord have mercy on us all if she has a musical number in it.
